Why is the news interesting as a case study for Global Media?

• There is huge overlaps between 'We media' and 'Democracy'.
• We are also more sensitive about where our news comes from, rather than where entertainment comes from.

E.G
If we watch a film from the USA then we don't make a big issue about cultural represenetation where as if we get the news from the USA it would be a different matter.

• We use youtube to be a new form of media and sits happily next to films and television, but blogs, forums and eye witnessing videos from ordinary citizens create debates about truth and the law.
